13. Silver King Takes A Loss - Nacho Libre
Jack Black's (underrated) comedy Nacho Libre is an affectionate ode to lucha libre, with several real-life Mexican luchadores cast in the film, including Silver King, aka El Bronco, who plays Nacho's nemesis, Ramses. The film follows a kind-hearted monk named Ignacio/Nacho who dreams of becoming a luchador, so he decides to enter a local promotion in order to raise funds for an orphanage. However, he must keep his participation secret from his friends in the monastery who believe wrestling is ungodly. The finale of the film has Nacho and Ramses going head to head. Despite initial difficulty, Nacho does well in the match. Though, when the crowd begins to support Ignacio, Ramses resorts to cheating. Nacho is nearly defeated indeed, unmasked by Ramses, when some of the orphans from the monastery enter the stadium to show support. Elated and inspired, Nacho rallies himself and defeats Ramses in the most over-the-top spectacle you'll ever see. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbnrgIGtNtA
