20 Former WWE Stars Who Should Return For Brand Split 2016
2. Goldberg
Goldberg was one of WCW's top stars, but his WWE tenure was less memorable. During his year with the company, he was never used to his full potential. It seemed like WWE's decision-makers were more concerned with making him look inferior to Triple H than they were with making money.
There was antipathy on both sides after Goldberg's contract ended, with "Da Man" specifically vocal about how much he hated his time in WWE. Over the years, though, his tone softened - citing an interest in performing for his young son, he said he was open to returning to the company if the money was right. Still, those in power (specifically Triple H) didn't seem interested in doing business with him.
Something's changed as of late, as last month, the company revealed that Goldberg would be featured prominently in the upcoming WWE 2K17 video game. That has sparked rumors about a return to the ring.
Goldberg, who has stayed in great shape, has mentioned that he could come back for another run if he wanted - one involving "50 matches," in his own words. If WWE coughs up the cash, Goldberg is theirs - let's just hope they'd use him right.
