After months of vignettes, The Shining Stars - Primo and Epico - finally made their Raw debut, taking on a pair of local competitors. Reaction to the repackaged tandem was muted, and in the month since the match, the pair has only appeared via more vignettes.
Primo and Epico are both talented stars, but no matter what their gimmick, they've always had trouble connecting with the fans. The same can't be said for former Intercontinental Champion Carlito, who happens to be Primo's brother and Epico's cousin. Even though he was never a main event star, Carlito was capable in the ring and had a charisma that meant fans typically cared about him - especially when he was a heel.
Since being released from WWE in 2010, Carlito has largely worked in Puerto Rico. There have been impasses when it comes to a WWE return, but if he can prove he's gotten personal issues under control and WWE offers the right money, there's nothing standing in the way. After that, Carlito, Primo, and Epico can join the company's thriving six-man tag scene.
