20 Greatest Ever WWE Bromances

When hugging it out seemed more appealing than brawling.

At its core, wrestling is a solo sport. The most iconic names in the industry have been individuals: Sammartino, Austin, Hogan, The Rock. That€™s not to say there haven€™t been some huge tag teams in the history of wrestling, but the brightest stars are almost always on their own. It's good to have a friend, though, because wrestlers work in a ridiculously dangerous environment. This is a job where folding chair attacks, gang beatings and attempted homicide aren€™t criminal offenses. It's nice to have backup. Films like 21 and 22 Jump Street, and I Love You Man have explored the relationships of The Bromance. It's a term for two guys who have a strong, emotional, but non-sexual bond. They kind of complete each other. Professional wrestling is no stranger to the bromance, as due to the insane travel the wrestlers endure, they often see their friends more than they see their own family. Relationships will be forged. From the odd couple, to the teacher/student, to two bros who were almost like family, there have been a lot of great pairs. On this list we search through the best, and most memorable bromances. We€™re going to leave off tag teams that spent the majority of their careers together like The Road Warriors, Demolition and The Hardy Boyz to focus on individuals who found a good friend at the workplace. They may have tagged on occasion, but they€™re mostly known for their friendship. Here are the 20 most memorable bromances in WWE.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
