20 Greatest Ever WWE Bromances

20. Goldust And Booker T

WWE pairing up Booker T with Goldust seemed like a punishment at first. Here was a guy that was the final WCW champion, but wasn€™t getting anywhere near that level of push in McMahon€™s company. Meanwhile, Goldust was on a bit of a career tailspin, so this wasn€™t meant to be a main event pairing. Goldy was no longer the sexual deviant who could shatter your dreams. He was reduced to being a weird comedy figure. Yet somehow, the pairing worked. Goldust just wanted to be friends with a reluctant Booker T and form a tag team. That's not too much to ask! They had some success, despite Booker desperately wanting to go solo. Goldust, though, wouldn€™t take no for an answer and followed him everywhere. One memorable stalking situation included a 7-Eleven where he tried to trade Booker a sip of a drink in exchange for a bite of €œhis weiner€ (hotdog he was holding). When Booker joined the NWO, Goldust would not accept it. He tried winning him back, and even tricked his partner into getting into bed with him. Eventually, the duo did win the tag team championship and learned to co-exist. It was strangely beautiful. Sadly, though, they were forced apart after losing a match. It just wasn't meant to be. Still, while it lasted, it was one of the ultimate love/hate relationships we've ever seen in wrestling.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
