20 Greatest Foreign Stars Who Made It Big In WWE

17. The Iron Sheik

As a powerful and detested Iranian in the 1980s, The Iron Sheik pretty much set the template for the character of the monster foreign heel. Today's Rusev wouldn't exist without the enduring influence of the Sheik. His finisher, the Accolade, is even a modified version of the Sheik's Camel Clutch. He is best known for being the man who ended Bob Backlund's historic WWF Championship reign. Many also credit him with helping to start Hulkamania as it was the Sheik who Hogan beat in 1984 to capture his first title at the top of the company. Nowadays, The Iron Sheik's biggest contribution to the world is his utterly bonkers Twitter account. It has to be seen to be believed.
