20 Greatest WWE Women's Matches Since 2000
7. Sasha Banks Vs. Becky Lynch Vs. Charlotte - WrestleMania 32
There is no bigger stage in professional wrestling than WrestleMania and in 2016, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Charlotte battled in a Triple Threat match that would not only rank as the most important women's bout in WWE history but, also, reintroduce to fans the Women's Championship as it took the place of the somewhat demeaning Divas title.
With the weight of the world on their shoulders, the competitors took to the squared circle and wasted little time showing the industry why they were among its most buzzed-about wrestlers.
Grand entrances set the stage but it was the tremendous performances of the three women that elevated the match to the level that so many expected. Reversals and counters, submission attempts and clever spots highlighted and extraordinary bout.
In one of the signature moments of the contest, Charlotte trapped Lynch in a Figure Four, only for Banks to break up the submission attempt with a frog splash that her idol, the late Eddie Guerrero, would be proud of.
In the end, Charlotte benefited from the interference of her father and picked up the win and title, putting a cap on the greatest night in women's wrestling history.
