In what has to be considered an upset of sorts, Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks from TakeOver: Unstoppable ranks as the best women's wrestling match since 2000, and for good reason.

The explosion of the former tag team partners resulted in a match that was equal parts dramatic and grounded in traditional wrestling psychology. Each woman utilised a submission-based offense while building a match that crescendoed with Banks catching Lynch in the Bank Statement for the win.

The trading of suplexes, the Boss' focused attack and the breakout performance from The Lass Kicker resulted in a match that exceeded even the loftiest of expectations. While the match did not have the pure emotion of the series between Banks and Bayley, it was a better match from start-to-finish and demonstrated just how strong a worker the NXT women's champion had evolved into.

Lynch, the unsung hero of the women's revolution that began in NXT, has spent every week of her career since this match developing into one of the best wrestlers on the entire WWE roster, regardless of gender. As for Banks...she is, arguably, the most over female performer since Lita took the wrestling world by storm at the turn of the Millennium.
