The rivalry between Trish Stratus and Victoria began in the summer of 2002 and intensified with the latter's descent into insanity. Unstable and determined to rearrange the pretty face of the then-women's champion Stratus, Victoria repeatedly attacked her, going as far as to bash her in the face with a steel chair.

Eventually, a Hardcore match for the Survivor Series pay-per-view was announced and the two women were presented with their first opportunity to demonstrate their toughness on a level similar to their male counterparts.

Stratus, the blonde bombshell out of Toronto, proved all of her doubters wrong, absorbing tremendous punishment while dishing out some of her own. Garbage can lids were used, as were chairs and even an ironing board. A mirror figured to play a key role in the finish of the bout but was shattered prematurely, forcing the workers to improvise.

Though a basic suplex was absolutely a disappointing way to wrap up the bout, especially considering the intensity the women brought to their performances, everything that preceded it was more than enough to justify this match's placement on the list.
