Although he may have lost a few battles along the way, Vince McMahon eventually stood victorious as the winner of the Monday Night War, when WCW went down for the count on March 26th 2001. Even sweeter for Vince was the fact that he had bought and now owned his own competition. Things took an even more shocking turn when Vince's son Shane showed up at Nitro and announced that he had signed the contract instead of Vince and was now the owner of WCW during the Raw/Nitro simulcast. It was a great moment, one that was totally unpredictable and once-in-a-lifetime.
