Big things appeared to be on the horizon for 'Big Body Javi', whose frequent NXT Level Up presentation, alongside one-off SmackDown and Main Event appearances, foretold a potential breakthrough moment for the former college football player, that was until a mistimed ringside dive from Chase U's Riley Osbourne resulted in Bernal's foot breaking in a "few places".

With this, Javier Bernal, the character, stepped aside as the real-life Randy Beidelschies was frankly scared as he underwent his first surgery. Thankfully, that surgery was a success, and medical staff informed him that he should have the all-clear after around six months.

Returning: January 2025, at the earliest.
