20 Longest WWE Intercontinental Title Reigns

4. Don Muraco - 385 Days

The Rock Ic Champ

Don Muraco was the fourth ever Intercontinental Champion, but it was his second reign with the belt that would be his longest.

"Magnificent" Muraco would go on to reclaim the IC Title from Pedro Morales in January 1983, and this time his run with the gold would end up lasting a whopping 385 days.

Arguably the most arrogant heel on the WWF roster at that point in time, Muraco brought a must-see element to the title, largely because people were dying to see him get his comeuppance. Such examples of his heelish ways included dedicating his finisher to people before a title defence had even started, and there was also a famous moment where he casually chewed on a sandwich whilst dominating a jobber during a squash match.

Having beaten the likes of Tony Atlas and Rocky Johnson, Don Muraco's 13-month Intercontinental Championship reign would finally be brought to a halt thanks to Tito Santana, who would defeat Muraco for the gold in February 1984.
