"Oh yeeeaaaaaah..."

In at number 3 on this list is the unmistakable, legendary Randy Savage.

After challenging Tito Santana for the Intercontinental Championship on several occasions, Savage would finally beat Santana for the belt on a February 1986 episode of Prime Time Wrestling, using a foreign object to sneak the victory and the title.

Savage would hold and defend the IC Title as if it was just as important, if not more-so, than the WWF Championship, then held by Hulk Hogan. In fact, Savage would even claim two countout wins over the Hulkster, brother.

During his reign as IC Champ, Randy Savage, with Miss Elizabeth at his side, would bring an intensity and work ethic to the belt that had not been seen up until that point. Then came the challenge of Ricky Steamboat.

Having put Steamboat out of action with a vicious ring bell attack, Savage would take on his returning rival at Wrestlemania 3 in a match that many regard as the greatest wrestling match of all time.

Of course, Savage would lose his Intercontinental Championship during the Wrestlemania 3 bout, bringing his reign as IC Champ to an end at a massive 414 days. Dig it!
