11. Shawn Michaels Joins NWO - Raw (June 3rd, 2002)
Shawn Michaels received a lot of huge pops in his career. That goes without saying since he was in WWE on and off for over 20 years. On the June 3, 2002 edition of Raw he made a return to WWE after being away for nearly two years. He had stopped wrestling four years earlier. Kevin Nash was in the ring and he let us know there would be a new member of the NWO: Shawn Michaels. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deFIgotEceI It was one of those things that we didn't really expect. There wasn't a whole lot of hype behind it, yet the fans gave him a consistent ovation for about three minutes. A year earlier, WWE wanted to use Michaels in a storyline somehow yet they never did it because he was in no condition to perform. When his music hit that night and he entered the ring it just felt right to see him again. We didn't know it at the time, but two months later Michaels returned to the ring and he was back for another eight years. It all started with this big return over 12 years ago.
