20 Major WrestleMania Matches We Didn't Get

9. Kurt Angle Vs. Sting (WrestleMania 18)

Angle and Sting had some notable clashes in TNA over the company's World Championship, particularly at the third Bound For Glory, but it could have come to pass much earlier. Instead of making his long-awaited WWE debut in 2014, Sting could very well have joined the Titan giant when it was still called WWF. Former WWE writer David Lagana revealed in 2011 that Sting would have been brought in well before the nWo-laden WrestleMania, going one on one with the promotion's Olympic hero in Toronto. Sting, however, was unwilling to commit to the grueling full-time schedule of a WWF performer, and the deal fell through. Other than the occasional match in 2002-03, Sting wouldn't regularly wrestle again until 2006, when he began an eight year run with TNA.
