20 Major WrestleMania Matches We Didn't Get

8. Stone Cold Steve Austin Vs. Hollywood Hogan (WrestleMania 18)

Perhaps the biggest one-on-one match in wrestling history that has never, ever taken place. The return of Hogan in 2002 opened up the floodgates of possibilities that would pit the company's most prolific elder against a litany of Attitude Era icons in dream match after dream match. Make no mistake, Hogan's showdown with The Rock still induces goosebumps a decade and a half later, but it could have been a different match. Hogan was up for working with Austin, but the feeling wasn't mutual. Austin was going through a rough stretch creatively and emotionally, and felt that the aging Hogan would've been trailing him physically. Austin did say in 2014 that he regrets being stubborn, and puts over Hogan's match with Rock as an all-timer.
