As the owner of a multi-billion dollar sports-entertainment empire, Vince McMahon should be focused on putting his talent in the best positions for them to succeed. After all, it is in his best interest for his Superstars and Divas to be taken seriously by the public at large if he is to market and merchandise them on a large scale. How can they possibly lead his company if the men, women and children in the audience do not respect them? It is a question many find themselves asking after every humiliating task endured by a Superstar, Diva or other on-screen personality. Truth is, McMahon has a very long history of creating humiliating circumstances for his performers. Announcers have been slathered in barbecue sauce and had their heads literally pulled from their asses. Divas have repeatedly had their weight called into question and various substances poured over them. Wrestlers have been demeaned courtesy of the "Vince McMahon Kiss My Ass Club," He, himself, is not even immune to his own unique brand of humor, nor is his daughter Stephanie. Together, they have been key players in some of the most memorable humiliations in WWE history. Still, regardless of the effect it has on the characters, McMahon seemingly cannot help but book the disgraceful segments. Some have been absolutely integral to angles currently unfolding on Raw or SmackDown. Those instances are forgivable and, in many cases, are even entertaining. But there are others that felt darker, more sinister. They were blatant, mean-spirited segments meant to humble the talent involved for reasons only those in power and with the ability to order them could understand. They served no purpose other than popping the boys in the back or creating a few laughs among those in the Gorilla position. Those are detrimental to all involved. With that in mind, here is a look back through the annals of WWE history at some of the most memorable and notorious humiliations in WWE.
20. 123 Crybaby (In Your House VI, February 1996)
The 123 Kid's shocking betrayal of friend Razor Ramon in late 1995 ignited a rivalry between the two Superstars that lasted into the new year. The Royal Rumble in January saw Kid interfere in Ramon's Intercontinental Championship defense against Goldust, costing the "Bad Guy" the title and intensifying the personal animosity between them. With the tension between them at a fever pitch, a match was booked for February 1996's In Your House pay-per-view. No ordinary match, it was dubbed a Crybaby match in which the loser would be powdered, diapered and fed a bottle in front of the entire world. Ramon defeated his younger, brattier opponent with not one, but two Razor's Edges. After the bell, Ramon delivered on the stipulations, embarrassing Kid to the delight of the fans in Louisville. It was essentially the end of Kid's usefulness to Vince McMahon's WWE but considering the fact that he was on his way to the greener pastures of WCW, it was hardly a big deal. Ramon, the babyface, vanquished his hated and foe and humiliated him to boot. And all was right with the world.
