19. Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow (WrestleMania XX, March 2004)
The Women's Championship had switched hands shortly before WrestleMania XX as Victoria, who had recently turned babyface, wrestled the title away from self-righteous villain Molly Holly. The loss not only crushed the virtuous former champion, it left her scrambling for ways to convince Victoria to give her another rematch. The answer: put her hair on the line in a match at the biggest show of the year. Believing her skills to be far superior to those of her opponent, she had no reason to be concerned about the outcome. Then it happened. Victoria stunned Molly with a backslide and successfully retaining her title. Realizing what her loss meant, the heel tried to run away and, thus, escape what would be a humiliating ordeal. She even turned the tables on the champion and tried shaving her head, to no avail. Eventually, Molly found herself bound to a barber's chair and her beautiful brunette locks shaved one-by-one. As the crowd inside the historic Madison Square Garden watched, Molly had her head shaved bald by a gleeful Victoria. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xy8yst_victoria-vs-molly-holly_sport It was a moment that put eyes on the women's division and, more importantly, gave the much-deserving Victoria and Molly a spot on the WrestleMania card. After helping to legitimize women's wrestling in North America for a year prior to the Showcase of the Immortals, they received an opportunity to ply their craft in front of a worldwide audience. When all was said and done, they were responsible for one of the more popular moments on the show and one of the most memorabilia humiliations in WWE history.
