Controversy: Tank Abbott crossing the line This pay-per-view took place at a time when WCW was trying to get people talking by any means necessary, because the company was losing money and they needed to find a spark of some sort. Former UFC fighter Tank Abbott would be taking on Big Al in a Leather Jacket On A Pole Match. That's bad enough, but during one point in the match, when both men had tumbled to the outside of the ring with the jacket, a knife popped out. Abbott took the knife, put it to Al's throat, and yelled (very loudly and clearly a mere foot away from the camera) "I could f**king kill you right now!" That's taking an edgy product and pushing it way too far, for a midcard act that nobody cared about in the first place. In an instant, all talk of putting the WCW Title on Tank (yes, that was being discussed) went out the window. One year later, WCW wasn't even in business anymore, and it was no surprise.
