17. ECW Living Dangerously 2000
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHbMl4N8Lnc Controversy: New Jack and Vic Grimes nearly die on live pay-per-view One of the things ECW was known for was the level of violence displayed in their product. New Jack was the prime example of that violence. At 2000's Living Dangerously pay-per-view, Jack and Vic Grimes participated in one of the most infamous spots in company history, which covers a lot of ground. Jack and Grimes were brawling atop some scaffolding, without any solid footing at all, when they suddenly come crashing down, as Jack falls feet-first through a table below, only for Grimes to come slamming down on top of him. They both landed on the concrete, and when you watched it live, you just knew at least one of them was dead. There was too much weight, too much force, and not enough padding for them to both have survived. The match came to a screeching halt, just like that. Jack took the worst of the spot, losing his sight and cracking his skull open, fracturing multiple bones. Not too long after this, in a rematch for ECW-ripoff company XPW, Jack would admit to trying to kill Grimes by throwing him from another scaffold, but doing so too hard and trying to cause him to fall and hit the turnbuckles, similarly to Owen Hart's fall at Over The Edge.
