20 Most Horrifically Stupid Things That Ever Happened In WWE

16. Hornswoggle As Anonymous GM

WWE loves authority figures. From June 2010 to October 2011 apparently they couldn't figure out who to make the authority figure on Raw, so they had an Anonymous Raw GM appointed by Vince McMahon. It was basically a way for some mysterious person to email or text in matches with heel announcer Michael Cole reading them as a way to get Cole heat. Why not make Cole the GM then? No idea. It was stupid. During the entire run of the "Anonymous Raw GM" there was all kinds of speculation as to who it might be. They could have picked an active wrestler, former wrestler, former GM or even said it was Vince himself. We all figured there would be some big payoff to it. Nope. It was revealed that Hornswoggle was the Anonymous Raw GM, which really made no sense based on all the storylines and angles that took place on the show during that year long period. It was basically WWE's version of saying they had nobody in mind, so here's the joke way to get out of it by saying it was Hornswoggle. The angle had a lot of potential, but it ended in a stupid way.
