20 Most Horrifically Stupid Things That Ever Happened In WWE

14. Shawn Michaels Teams With God Against Vince & Shane McMahon

The great Shawn Michaels beat Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 22, but the feud didn't end there. It continued at Backlash 2006 when Vince McMahon teamed up with his son Shane against Shawn and his partner...God. Yeah that's right. WWE actually advertised God as part of this tag match because they knew fans were aware of Shawn's lifestyle as a Christian man who has a strong belief in God. It was a silly idea just thinking about it and the execution was even worse. Vince, who looked like he had a really bad sunburn, did the introduction for God. A spotlight appeared on the ramp while some ominous music played. Vince didn't like the song, so he suggested something more special and they played a dance tune that would later become the song of Brodus Clay. Vince did some over the top dancing as well and even told the ref to check "him" out. Jim Ross on commentary called it insanity, which was a good way to describe it. He meant it from a storyline standpoint, but it really was stupid. It was probably one of those stories where Vince thought it was some great idea, everybody else thought it was dumb and were probably too scared to tell Vince how stupid it was. If you're wondering, Vince and Shane won the match thanks to a lot of help, so God is 0-1 in WWE history.
