20 Most Iconic Wrestling Costumes Of All Time
9. Hulk Hogan
The colors red and yellow will be forever linked to the rise of Hulkamania, and to the most well-known professional wrestler of his or any era. Make no mistake: Hulk Hogan's general aesthetic was just as important to his cultural prominence as anything else. How many people immediately think of him tearing his yellow tank top in half when they hear the Hulkster's name? (Hint: All of them.)
His curious blend of biker (the bandana and horseshoe mustache) and beach bum (the intense tan, bright colors, and frequent use of words "brother" and "dude") separated him from the pack. And it's no coincidence that shortly after his rise to celebrity, more wrestlers started donning equally outrageous color combinations.
It would be fair to say the 'Hollywood' Hogan gimmick has a certain amount of iconography attached to it, as well, but most will remember him adorned in his ketchup and mustard color scheme.
