20 Most Iconic WWE Wrestlers Of All Time

7. Randy Savage

Randy Savage is another entry on this list who transcended the wrestling business, making waves for himself in mainstream media and becoming a notable part of pop culture. Whether it's the Macho King or the Macho Man, Savage's status as a legend of professional wrestling isn't up for debate. Strutting around the squared circle like a Red Bull-fuelled peacock, Macho brought an intensity rarely seen before or since. Then when it came to the action, there were few who could out perform the skilled Savage. As a heel he could make you hate him as he notched up cheap wins, whilst his times as a babyface saw him have fans hanging on his every movement. In a profession of amped-up, larger-than-life characters, Randy Savage was a one of a kind. His aggressive, frenetic offence matched with his colourful outfits, his entertaining promo style and his unmistakable raspy vocals put Savage on a pedestal that very few of his peers could even see let alone reach. And when it comes down to it, this is the man who got excellent matches out of both Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior - a recognition of Savage's in-ring excellence if there ever was one.
