20 Most Infamous Real Life Wrestling Fights Of All Time

5. Dynamite Kid Vs. The Fabulous Rougeaus (1988)

WWE

Blame Curt Hennig for this one. Curt was a notorious ribber, so when the Rougeau Brothers (Jacques and Raymond) asked him to watch their bags while they wrestled, Hennig decided it would fun to mess with them instead by cutting up their clothes and throwing them around the dressing room.

When the duo came back they were understandably hot, but Hennig blamed the British Bulldogs, Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite Kid, who were equally notorious for their pranks. Jacques confronted Dynamite, who knew nothing about it, leading to a skirmish that the surly Brit unsurprisingly came out on top in.

Feeling humiliated and fed up of Dynamite throwing his weight around, the brothers planned to get revenge in order to save face. Of the two, Raymond was the better fighter - he had been a boxer in his youth - but the issue had been between Dynamite and his brother, so if he fought the Brit then it would make Jacques lose even more respect from the dressing room. Instead, Raymond taught Jacques in their hotel room how to land a solid punch. Jacques'€™ father, a former wrestler, advised him to use a roll of quarters in order for the punch to do the most damage possible, as he might only get one shot.

On the day of the attack, the Rougeaus stood outside of the building€™'s private catering area talking to Pat Patterson, waiting for Dynamite to walk past. They eventually spotted him leaving the room with a coffee in one hand and a cigarette in the other. He spotted the Rougeaus but thought nothing of it because they were with Patterson, Vince McMahon€™'s right hand man. He was sure that if there was revenge coming €“ which he had been expecting for days,“ then it would not be with Patterson around.

He was wrong. Jacques launched himself at Dynamite and drilled him as hard as he could with the quarter-loaded punch. Dynamite€™'s teeth flew out of his mouth, but to Jacques€™ shock - and terror - Dynamite did not go down. Jacques had hit Dynamite with his best shot and now he was scared for his life. Jacques decided the only thing he could do was hit him again, so he unloaded with another hard punch to the face. Patterson screamed for help, worried that Jacques was going to murder Dynamite right there in front of him.

Eventually Dynamite'€™s Stampede Wrestling ally Bad News Brown came to the rescue, causing the Rougeaus to flee. The Rougeaus left the arena and drove around the block, then headed back when they knew Vince would be around and went to speak with him. McMahon was locked in a meeting with Hulk Hogan and told them to come back later, but as soon as he and Hogan saw Dynamite€™'s blood all over Jacques they were told to stay.

Jacques explained everything and was told he needed to pay for Dynamite€™'s dental surgery. Jacques refused, but McMahon assured him that the WWF would actually pay for it, but to avoid further confrontation, Dynamite needed to believe that Jacques was covering the costs. McMahon then talked to Dynamite and told him the surgery would be paid for, telling him not to plan another revenge attack because someone would be killed. He also warned that the Rougeaus were well connected in Montreal, and should something happen to one of them then Dynamite would potentially face grave repercussions.

Nothing more occurred, and the Bulldogs were gone from the WWF shortly afterwards.

Winner: The Fabulous Rougeaus
