20 Most Overdue WWE Hall Of Fame Inductions
16. Cyndi Lauper
It's baffling that Cyndi Lauper, the "rock" half of the fabled Rock 'n' Wrestling Connection, hasn't yet been inducted. Her involvement brought WWE their first real taste of mainstream publicity, and it was her gold record that Roddy Piper famously cracked over Lou Albano's head. She was also involved with the first WrestleMania, standing in the corner of forgotten She-Hulkster Wendi Richter when she won the Women's Championship from Leilani Kai.
Why She Isn't In: The bar for entry into the celebrity wing of WWE's Hall of Fame is pretty low. Drew Carey got in on the strength of a single Royal Rumble appearance, for example. Perhaps WWE feels that her star has faded so much at this point that they would spend more time explaining to their current fans who Cyndi was than it would take to actually induct her.
