You've got to give it to the Jackass crew. They've managed to glean a ton from something that undeniably peaked as a pop culture phenomenon in the early-2000s. That MTV boom alongside such pranksters as Bam Margera gripped millions of people, and it inspired loads of hyped-up teenagers to perform dangerous stunts despite being warned not to.

Hmm, come to think of it, that kinda sounds like pro wrestling.

Jackass had a new movie to promote in 2022, so Johnny Knoxville decided to marry his love of inflicting bodily harm like some acting version of Cactus Jack with WWE's most lucrative period of the year. JK entered the Rumble at #9, then got tossed out by future WrestleMania foe Sami Zayn. Anyone praying that creative would find something else for Sami to do at 'Mania would be pleasantly surprised by what he and Knoxville pulled together come their big night.

That 'Anything Goes' encounter remains one of 'Mania's best celeb bouts ever. It's right up there with anything Logan Paul has done, and far surpasses acclaimed matches like those featuring Hollywood actor star Dwayne Johnson. Right, enough. Your writer is 100% at it there. No, clearly Johnny Knoxville's performance didn't better The Rock's body of work, but it was pretty darn impressive nonetheless.

His appearance at the Rumble was pre-announced right at the start of the year, so it wasn't some major shocker when he entered on the night. However, seeing a relic of MTV's boom period working out as late as 2022? Yeah, that wasn't something anyone had on the old bingo cards post-pandemic.
