Time for a breather from all the careful dieting and bulging biceps.

What was that about "ridiculous" not only relating to muscle mass? The fearsome Abdullah The Butcher was a terrifying sight for wrestling fans throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s. Abby played up to his ultra-violent, scary gimmick by eating anything he could get his hands on post-match, and often in front of alarmed punters.

He was a huge man physically, but Abdullah deserves praise for even being able to move around the ring at all. He didn't seem to have any athletic ability to speak of, and yet this Butcher would patrol between the ropes dishing out punishment. Just don't ask him to hit any Canadian Destroyers and everything will be fine.

Abdullah rightly slimmed down a little once he retired. He had to. Being honest, his odd shape and lack of muscle tone only added to the overall package and made The Butcher even more frightening to fans. He didn't map out workouts, but Abby's physique does count as "ridiculous".
