20 Most Underappreciated WWE Stars Of The 21st Century
5. Tyson Kidd
In 2006, WWE signed two of the top independent stars in Canada - Harry Smith, son of the legendary "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith, and his tag team partner, TJ Wilson. Most of the fanfare surrounded Smith, though - he was only 20 years of age, had a reputation as a great worker, and was much larger than his father.
Once the team came up to the main roster in 2009, though, it was Wilson - now called Tyson Kidd - who won the lion's share of the accolades. Fans and analysts praised his crisp work and command of the ring, and the next year, The Hart Legacy turned babyface and won the WWE Tag Team Titles. By 2011, though, they had split and Smith was fired.
Still, nothing changed with Kidd - he was the same fabulous worker, he just wasn't getting a push. Over the next few years, there were a couple of times when it looked like things were going to change, but his momentum didn't last long. Finally, in 2015, Kidd suffered a career-ending neck injury, forever placing him in the "what could have been" category.
