The Triple H-centricity continues, as the January 20th edition of RAW in 2003 saw the coming together of a faction that would dominate the red brand for the next 18 months. Hunter was the World Heavyweight Champion at the time, and his main rival was none other than Big Poppa Pump himself, Scott Steiner.

The two had a series of seriously disgraceful matches, but the rivalry is more memorable for bringing together Hunter, Ric Flair, Randy Orton and Batista as Evolution. The stable former with the single aim of keeping the gold on Hunter, and they managed to do this with some aplomb, at least until the arrival of Goldberg later in the year.

The stable made their arrival by putting the boots to Steiner, Orton being the final piece to fall into this particularly dominant jigsaw. Two weeks later the name was official, after the four beat down Tommy Dreamer of all people.
