13. Big Van Vader Vs. Cactus Jack – Halloween Havoc ‘93
When it comes to brutality in wrestling, it’s hard to overlook the names of Big Van Vader and Cactus Jack. Put them together in a “Texas Death Match” and you know you’re in for a bumpy ride.
Stiff, snug and violent, the match is everything you would expect from a “Death Match” between two of the toughest competitors in WCW history; including a sickening flat back bump from Vader...performed with Cactus Jack on his back. Ouch.
The sight alone is breathtaking and the 400lbs of pressure landing squarely on Foley’s chest did just that and more; almost ending his career in the process. Incredibly, the feud would get even more sadistic, with Cactus Jack losing his ear during another bout with Vader in Germany the following year.
