Bull Buchanan wore a number of hats throughout his time with WWE. From debuting as the Truth Commission's Recon in 1997 to serving as John Cena's hype man B2, Buchanan never broke out as a singles star, but he was a reliable midcard performer, and enjoyed a brief Tag Team Title run while part of the Right to Censor group.

The Bull Buchanan character was introduced to WWE audiences in Mar 2000. Having spent the past few years in developmental following the Truth Commission's implosion, Bull debuted on an episode of Sunday Night Heat. Dressed in the Big Boss Man's trademark SWAT gear, he attacked Mideon during a match with Boss Man, and their alliance was cemented.

Buchanan was intended to be Boss Man's protege, and the duo went on a decent little run. They were able to defeat The Godfather and D'Lo Brown at WrestleMania 2000 before overcoming the APA at Backlash, but WWE, for whatever reason, decided to split the duo just three months after debuting. Bull & Boss Man lost a match to the Hardy Boyz on Raw, and after a heated argument, Boss Man struck Bull with his nightstick, and the team was over.
