5. Goldust
Dustin Runnels infamously didn't know what "androgynous" meant when Vince McMahon asked him if he fancied playing the part of Goldust over the phone, but would have likely said yes anyway had he seen the slick original drawings.
Goldust went through a multitude of changes in the development stage, but this sharp, suited and short-haired original was a far cry from the walking mood board that finally debuted in the Autumn of 1995. His cinematic vignettes had him donning a golden jacket, and he still wasn't as stylish as this original image suggested.
