20 Original WWE Character Concepts You Won’t Believe

18. The Headshrinkers

Goldust Concept
WWE

The Headshrinkers got over in spite of their dated gimmick in the mid-1990s.

Originally cast as cannibalistic heels, Fatu and Samu (and later Seone) organically turned babyface just over a year into their run due to the popularity of their dynamic offence. They may never have stood a chance had their original look made air. Short tights were completely overwhelmed by the overtly-gimmicked accessories.

The various peripherals are cartoonishly superfluous - particularly the large knife alarmingly tucked inside the illustration's clenched right fist.
