20 Reasons Why Last Night's WWE Raw Was An Absolute Mess

5. “Boring!”

Remember Shayna Baszler and Kairi Sane’s tremendous NXT Women’s Championship feud? Remember those outstanding title fights, their urgent energy, high effort levels, and genuine dramatic heft?

They were a world away last night as Shayna and Sane partook in a sandpaper-dry midcard plodder that failed as both a Baszler showcase and a source of entertainment.

That fans were chanting “boring!” for a Baszler vs. Sane bout says it all. Whoever agented this concocted a listless, drab 13-minuter with no energy, nothing to pop for, and no attempt at presenting ‘The Queen of Spades’ as a threat heading into Elimination Chamber. It was whack, and that Kairi was an Asuka replacement doesn’t cut it as an explanation either, as these two have worked much better bouts when unhindered by the main roster’s restrictive road-agenting framework.

Those chants were earned.
