While Asuka vs. Rhea Ripley suffered from a disappointing lack of crowd investment stemming from the lacklustre build, it was great to see Ripley coming away with the victory after the disappointment of last year.

Losing her NXT Title to Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 36 signalled the downturn of Ripley's all-conquering bad*ss character. She has since regained much of the goodwill eroded by that poor booking decision, with becoming Raw Women's Champion at just 24 years old the next logical step in her star-making process.

A Backlash or Money in the Bank win over Flair would help exorcise what lingering WM36 demons may remain.
