20 Scariest Wrestling Moments Ever

15. Dustin Rhodes Watches Children Sleep

After leaving WWE in 1999, Dustin Rhodes immediately returned to WCW. New booker Vince Russo - who had worked with Rhodes extensively in WWE when he was Goldust - saw potential in him as a creepy heel, but decided to take things a step further. Rhodes's new gimmick was 'Seven', a character with white facepaint and a black suit and hat.

In the promo that aired to introduce the character, he loomed outside a young child's bedroom window, seemingly corrupting or possessing the boy at the end. The character was allegedly based on the film Dark City, but the way the promo was crafted, Turner Broadcasting Standards and Practices thought he was meant to be a child abductor.

WCW was forced to drop the character, with Seven appearing on Nitro, floating down to the ring, and cutting a "shoot" promo about how he wouldn't let the company force him into another ridiculous gimmick. Still, it was scary for the 30 seconds it lasted.
