20 Things We Learned From Brock Lesnar On Stone Cold's WWE Network Podcast

13. Learning From The Veterans

Austin mentions how impressed he was with Lesnar when he made his debut on the main roster and knew that he had something, then talks about how some of the veterans took him under his wing, particularly Kurt Angle and Ray Traylor, better known as The Big Bossman. He asks Brock how helpful they were during the early days of his career. He says they were both were tremendous influences on him, adding that he'd met Kurt in Minnesota through Brad Rheingans and then Ray through Kurt and he started traveling with them. Brock says he would offer to buy the gas for Kane and The Undertaker if he could jump in the backseat and ride with them, and points out that the best place to learn is in the car on the road with your more experienced peers. He says having those guys in his ear smartening him up was an invaluable resource.
