20 Things We Need To See From Lucha Underground Season 2

8. Aztec Warfare II

Lucha Underground had a number of great gimmick matches throughout its first season, including the triangle ladder match, the "Fight All Night" iron man match, and, of course, the savage majesty of Grave Consequences. But my personal favorite is the only gimmick match that's not simply a renamed WWE staple: Aztec Warfare!

For those who missed this season one highlight: it's similar to a Royal Rumble, with periodic countdowns to new entrants throughout the match. However, the differences are crucial: the eliminations happen via pinfall or submission, which completely changes the feel of the match; and instead of a digital timer, there's an AZTEC DRUM BAND. Originally, the match was used to crown the first LU champion, but if the title isn't vacant at any point during season two, why not run it to establish a number one contender?
