20 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Attitude Era
16. The Fake Miscarriage
The Pretty Mean Sisters (P.M.S.) storyline of late '98-'99 was about as classless as WWE came at the time. Initially forming as an alliance of spurned and rejected women, PMS engaged in a cruel and thoroughly thoughtless angle in 1998. A Kayfabe pregnant Terri Runnels faked a miscarriage of a baby she never had to begin with as a means of manipulating D'Lo Brown into doing her bidding out of guilt. A Vince Russo special, this story not only did little to aid Brown in his rise to the midcard but took advantage of a truly harrowing and depressing event of life, capable of pushing young women to suicide should it happen. It was just one of those things you don't take advantage of.
