20 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About The Attitude Era

15. The Hawk Fall From The Titantron

One of the most notorious bad angles of the Attitude Era, WWE turned Michael Hegstrand (Road Warrior Hawk's) real-life alcohol addiction issues into an on-screen storyline in 1998. Hawk would show up 'drunk' to matches and eventually Animal turned heel on him and joined up with Darren Drozdov as his replacement. This all culminated in an angle on Raw where Hawk climbed the titantron in a supposed suicide attempt before being pushed off by Droz. The L.O.D. would leave the WWE shortly after and it's not hard to see why. It was another angle in very poor taste and equally poor in its production. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9geNPA9zQPA
