Trish went from strength-to-strength after winning the Women's Title for the first time. The word "first" would become synonymous with her career over the next five years or so. Someone who'd been hired to stand around looking pretty helped push the female wrestling cause as more important than it had ever been.

Stratus managed a few notable firsts along the way.

At Survivor Series 2002, she and Victoria worked a seven-minute hardcore match for the belt. It's rudimentary stuff looking back on it now, but that one match was a breakout moment for female brawls on WWE pay-per-view that didn't include thongs, lingerie or other highly-sexualised elements.

On the 6 December 2004 episode of Raw, Stratus and old-doubter Lita worked the first ever all-female main event in the flagship show's 11-year history. Both of these matches cemented Trish's legacy as a pioneer of the women's movement.
