20 Things You Learn Watching WWE Since 1997

5. ...But The Ring Work Is Better Than Ever

As much as fans like to romanticize the Attitude Era and dismiss the current product, one thing cannot be disputed - the ring work today is many levels better than it was in 1998.

In fact, over the past 20 years, things have steadily gotten better. There was certainly no shortage of talented stars back then, but the ensuing years would see the arrivals of Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, and Kurt Angle. Eventually, independent darlings like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan would join the company.

Today's WWE boasts the best roster it's ever had - AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Cedric Alexander, Sasha Banks, Charlotte, and so many more men and women are helping WWE keep pace with an increasingly athletic and exciting pro wrestling world. There are still other companies outpacing WWE when it comes to the in-ring product - most notably New Japan Pro Wrestling - but there's no comparison between today and yesterday.
