20 Times The Undertaker Proved WWE Is His Yard

11. Defeating Ric Flair At WrestleMania X8

As the old expression goes, €˜To be the man, you gotta beat the man€™, which is exactly what the Undertaker did at WrestleMania X8. After interfering in Undertaker€™s Hardcore Title match with Maven, Ric Flair initially refused Undertaker€™s challenge for a match at WrestleMania X8. It took Undertaker demolishing Flair€™s son David and threatening to do the same to his daughter before Flair finally accepted the match, which became a No Disqualification match. The match itself was a brutal contest that used the No Disqualification stipulation to fullest effect. Chair shots, low blows, outside interference, this match had it all. But in the end, Undertaker was the one who won, and increased his Streak to 10-0. Though the match itself was rather one-sided, the fact that Undertaker defeated the legendary Ric Flair was a more important accomplishment. Flair has long been called the greatest wrestler of all time, and as such, he has earned a lot of credibility and status as a huge figure in wrestling history. As such, whenever he loses, it counts as a major victory for his opponent. Thus, Undertaker could say that he defeated arguably the greatest of all time in Ric Flair, himself a major legend in pro wrestling. It takes an exceptionally good wrestler to do that, and an especially good one to defeat him at WrestleMania. But that€™s what Undertaker did: he defeated arguably the biggest name in pro wrestling on the biggest stage of them all.
