Ending CM Punk and Kofi Kingston's time as champions, J-Mo and The Miz would go on to hold the titles until Wrestlemania 25 where they lost them in a unification match with the WWE Tag Team Champions, The Colóns (Carlito and Primo). Both Morrison and Miz had won the other tag titles a year prior to their victory over Punk and Kingston, while The Miz would also get a chance to hold the unified titles with the Big Show.
