20 UFC Prospects Destined For Big Things In 2020

3. Gregor Gillespie

In a lightweight weight class stacked with well-known fighters, Gregor Gillespie might be least recognised out of all of them. However, when it's time for someone to really pose a threat for UFC 155 lb champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Gillespie might be the man with the right fight style to beat him.

Gillespie's lack of a fanbase is probably due to the fact that he refuses to talk trash about any of his opponents. It's an admirable outlook on a fight game which has become full of Conor McGregor clones when it comes to pre-fight build up.

Instead, the 32-year old wrestler prefers to prove his worth by battering opponents inside the Octagon. Other than winning a unanimous decision, Gillespie has finished every other fight he's had inside the UFC. Did we mention that he's undefeated too?

So what makes Gillespie such a formidable fighter. Firstly, his wrestling is relentless. The constant changing of angles and switching between moves is exhausting for anyone trying to defend against it.

His striking has also improved to the level that he can be a problem on the feet if his opponents don't respect his boxing game. Gillespie is fast becoming a major player in the lightweight division and fans would be foolish to not keep an eye out for him.
