20 Worst Moments Of CM Punk's WWE Career

12. Facing Triple H At Night Of Champions In 2011

While Punk had suffered some less-than-enviable moments since the second Summer of Punk, it finally seemed like he was on the right track and had moved past pointless feuds. With his theme "Cult of Personality" by Living Colour, Punk's antiestablishment attitude was more than solidified at this point. Who better to go after than Mr. Corporate himself, Triple H? With the No Disqualifications stipulation slapped on, the stage was set for a truly explosive match. However, in a strange swerve, Nash returned, but he didn't come back alone. This time he brought R-Truth and The Miz with him, who were then competing as a tag team called Awesome Truth. All three men took out Punk, who lost. Those that wanted Punk to get some justice after all he had been subjected to surely went home disappointed. The lack of a clean finish left many fans hungry to see a rematch against Punk and Triple H, but that would never happen again.
