20 Worst Moments Of CM Punk's WWE Career

4. Having To Face Paul Heyman And Curtis Axel Too Many Times

As the first Paul Heyman guy, Punk had to fight for attention against Curtis Axel, another of Heyman's supposed future stars. Heyman served as the middleman to attempt a union between Punk and Axel, which went over about as well as the night that Punk punched out a fan. As a result, Axel was singled out and some team in-fighting began. It was bad enough that Punk had gone from having an impressive WWE Championship title reign to passing time in random feuds. Now he was reduced to fighting Curtis Axel. Even worse, Heyman defected, and by Night of Champions in 2013, Punk was slated to fight both the ECW founder and Axel. As you can imagine, Punk had no problem disposing of Axel during the match. However, just when he could have gotten his hands on the slimy Heyman, Ryback came out to decimate Punk. The monster's inclusion failed to add much if any excitement to an already pretty predictable feud.
