20 Worst WWE Matches Since 2000

9. Teddy Long Vs. Eric Bischoff (Survivor Series 2005)

Reading the names involved should tell you everything you need to know about this bout's quality. Eric Bischoff is an all-time great authority figure, and Teddy Long excelled as a manager, staff member, and referee, but putting them in the ring together was a recipe for disaster. Unsurprisingly, their combined inexperience resulted in the worst Survivor Series singles match of all time.

Neither man looked comfortable out there, so it's tough to rip on Long vs. Bischoff too much. They were personalities, not wrestlers, and should never have been thrown into this position in the first place. Watching the duo struggle to execute even the most rudimentary of strikes and holds was painful to watch, though.

WWE tried to prevent it from becoming a complete trainwreck by having The Boogeyman appear towards the end. Bischoff sent the officials off to hunt for him when the music hit, but Boogey came out from beneath the ring, took Easy E by surprising, then kneed him right in the gonads. One pumphandle slam later and Bischoff was ripe for picking, with Long's pinfall bringing things to a sweet, merciful end.
