20 Worst WWE Matches Since 2000
10. Bray Wyatt Vs. Kane (SummerSlam 2013)
Inferno matches stink. Sure, walls of flames surrounding the apron looks pretty cool, and WWE will never come up with a more appropriate signature stipulation for Kane, but they're grossly impractical.
Aside from the obvious fire hazard, the flames burn up the oxygen around the ring, making it difficult for wrestlers to last longer than a couple of minutes without gasping for air. On top of this, the performers will typically spend the runtime wrestling on eggshells for fear of catching fire ahead of planned conclusion.
WWE have only booked one variation on the format over the past 11 years, and it was bad. Really bad.
Kane and Bray Wyatt's 'Ring Of Fire' bout was the latter's first on the main roster. He couldn't have had a worse introduction, as he and his monstrous opponent visibly struggled in the stifling heat, the stipulation robbing Wyatt the opportunity of a star-making performance. The one plus point is that he was able to look strong in defeating 'The Big Red Machine' in his own environment, but that one plot point doesn't supersede the stipulation's problems.
